The image is of Miranda Otto, who plays Eowyn in The Lord of the Rings. i used bothe high pass and grunge effects, but mainly grunge. I chose the text tutorial because it looked fun and seemed like it would fit the character well.

Grunge

I only used one pass, but multiple curve and hue/saturation layers were used along with layer masks and blend modes.

High Pass

I used 3 passes, and followed the tutorial directly by using a noise filter and a hue/saturation layer to add effects
